HOW YOU CAN HELP
Windhorse Relations™ is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit corporation. Since its founding in 2001, our organization has relied entirely on volunteer support.
All financial contributions go directly to the equipment needs, care and education of the Mustangs. Their maintenance is covered by the income from our workshops and "M.E.E.T. the Mustangs™" programs.
What We Do:
- Showcase Windhorse Ambassadors to promote adoptions, and public support for the American Wild Horse.
- Educate American Mustangs to broaden their appeal as children's horses, hunter-jumper ponies, schooling horses, therapeutic partners and companions.
- Offer "M.E.E.T. the Mustangs™" (Mustang Educational Experiential Teaching) Programs to inform the public and create revenue for the Windhorse Herd maintenance. "We work for hay!"
- Maintain a herd of 30 mustangs.
- Create film productions that dispel myths, show the potential of the mustang, and teach about "Creating Willing Relationships" with the horse and others.
- Facilitate adoptions.
For 10 years, Mary Lee Brighton, founder of Windhorse Relations™ and Brighton Meadows Equestrian Center, and Marcia Thayne, have donated their time, effort, and money in gentling and training the Mustangs to their present level.
However, now we need your help.
Wild horses, mustangs, need a chance to demonstrate their gentle loving nature, trainability, and athleticism, to excel in higher-level activities such as hunter-jumper ponies and children's horses.
For $650 per horse, an outside professional trainer can provide 30 days of intense and consistent riding/training on various types of terrains. This is essential to their development and will help them reach their full potential. As a result, this will enable them to graduate into the riding school and become an ambassador for all mustangs.
Tiger Eye, Sapphire, Sequoia, Teton, Hickory, and Pinon are currently ready for this training. To find out more about these horses, go to the Our Horses page at this website, where we have links to all our mustangs' biographies.
We can accept donations two ways. No donation is too small, and all will be greatly appreciated.

This is the best investment one can make in this climate of economic downturn - a guaranteed return on your investment and the biggest "Bang for your Buck."
With your help, these horses will provide thousands of children an affordable, enriching riding experience.
