"Creating Willing Relationships"Workshop
Windhorse-Relationship™ is a unique equestrian experience mirroring balance and harmony in nature. It’s not goal-oriented horse training. It’s a process that creates the experience of kinship: “Where Heart Meets Horse.™”
The focus is upon creating a safe environment for authentic communication, understanding the mustang’s language and perspective, and changing fear into mutual trust and confidence, as you become the leader in a willing partnership.
Passion, Presence and Purpose
It’s not what you do; it’s your intention and how you do it that makes the difference. It's how you present yourself non-verbally to the horse and being aware of the horse's learning process, which is what Mary Lee terms "working the edge." Horses and humans learn the same way; they must feel safe, be relaxed, and feel free to move in order to process information and make changes.
"Working the Edge" is a powerful technique that changes fear into resiliency. Fear is the basis of all self-destructive and addictive behaviors. Experience the transformative difference! By "working the edge", you will be drawing your heart's desire to you, not pushing it away.
This workshop is not available anywhere else. It is more powerful than talk therapy because you and your Mustang Mentors practice the dance of creating a willing, intimate relationship until the steps and patterns become natural.
How can you transform your behavior so quickly? Because your Mustang teachers give constant feedback through gentle interactions and coaching, making the process exciting and joyful!
It's not what you say ~ it's how you non-verbally communicate what is in your heart ~ your intention.
- Experience how to become a clear communicator through conscious, positive intentions and body language.
- Experience how to draw the relationships you desire to you instead of pushing them away.
- Experience how to get through loneliness and discover intimacy and the joy of being in the present moment,
- Experience how hidden agendas and expectations block trust and communication, therefore destroying relationships.

"The Equestrian Experience"Workshop
Connecting with Horses through Clear, Consistent Communication
"Working the Edge" to Develop a Willing Joyful Relationship
Come for one day or more - All sessions customized to fit your needs!
Mary Lee Brighton, founder, director, trainer and facilitator of Windhorse Relations™, has devoted her life to teaching and being a student of the horse, working with expert trainers such as George Morris, Bob McDonald, Tom Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Linda Telllington Jones, Peggy Cummings and Peter Campbell. Mary Lee is always asking the questions: "How can I help the horse do his job more easily?" and "What gets in the way?" She believes becoming a better observer and understanding the horse's perspective, has been a key in her success.
"If the horse is not right, it is because we're not right" Ray Hunt - "Think Harmony with Horses"
Windhorse-Relationship™ is about working with the nature of the horse using balance, timing and feel. The power of self-awareness and non verbal communication with the horse allows the human to create willing relationships based on trust; which transforms fear into respect, and respect into response. When the human heart meets the wild horse in love and understanding the teachings circle back to transform and empower the human spirit.
Horsemanship should be horse/human kinship based upon a partnership of mutual respect and understanding for a common purpose. The kind of relationship will determine the enjoyment and level of accomplishment for the horse/human team. The basic skills and disciplines required cannot be mastered without harmony and balance whether trail riding, jumping, executing patterns or working cattle. Equitation is form with function, and the most important function is for the human to learn how to get along with the horse and accept him as his/her teacher.
Windhorse Relations™ offers hands-on-teaching, custom designed for horse owners, rescue and therapeutic volunteers, intermediate equestrian skills or professional, or future adoptees of the wild horse.
